Challenge
Our AquaVeil water wall has been highly successful within the UK for both residential and commercial projects and fulfils the aspirations of our clients, however there are a few areas which the AquaVeil has not meet our clients full requirements. The two areas have been the colour where the AquaVeil is a silver mesh, some clients have requested a darker surface and also in some projects a more compact water wall with smaller reservoir and with it less splash. The design and build quality had to be supirior and uphold the name that Tills Innovations and AquaVeil enjoys to this day.
Solution
Critical to the success of the Irus was to ensure that as many of the unique benefits that the AquaVeil offered were incorporated into this new water feature. First being a modular design offering bespoke sizes, which can be easliy installed without disruption on site for eaither a new build project or as part of a make over for a property or garden.
The frame and water delivery system is based on the proven design of AquaVeil, which meant we wrere half way there. Through a lengthy development process looking at procise effects, and a marid of other parameters, testing of different materials and surface finishes we came up with four different water patterns, each offering different asthetics and practical solutions. All of which offers the unique design that Tills is know for in a high quality product.
Benefit
The specific texture on the surface of the water wall creates different water patterns for clients to choose from. The benefit being that one water wall can all be in one pattern, or can be a combination of two or more, giving even more interest to the emotion it creates. The dark surface brings out the water effect at its best, but other colours and choices can be offered, giving even more floexibility to the product
The sound that the Irus creates is very relaxing and each of the surface textures produce slightly different levels of sound. The lighting for the Irus brings the water patterns alive, making a stricking effects by night. Another big benifit is that the splash and therefore size of the resrevoir at the base can be much smaller than the AquaVeil with a cerytain chosen water pattern. This is a big benefit for indoor installations.
