The AquaVeil had already proved highly successful in both residential and commercial settings, but some projects called for a different character.
Clients were asking for a darker, more solid-looking surface, a more compact reservoir and water patterns that could work particularly well where space or splash control was important.
The challenge was to create something genuinely different while retaining the quality, engineering and ease of ownership associated with Tills water features.
The Irus™ was developed as a standard Tills water wall design manufactured to bespoke dimensions.
Its frame and water delivery system draw on our experience developing the AquaVeil®, while a specially selected textured surface creates distinctive flowing water patterns with a very different appearance.
Clients can specify the width and height, choose their preferred water patterns and select the frame colour, allowing the Irus™ to be tailored to its setting while retaining a proven underlying design.
Its compact reservoir and controlled water movement also make the Irus™ particularly suitable where space and splash need careful consideration.
The specific texture on the surface of the water wall creates different water patterns for clients to choose from. The benefit being that one water wall can all be in one pattern, or can be a combination of two or more, giving even more interest to the emotion it creates. The dark surface brings out the water effect at its best, but other colours and choices can be offered, giving even more floexibility to the product
The sound that the Irus creates is very relaxing and each of the surface textures produce slightly different levels of sound. The lighting for the Irus brings the water patterns alive, making a stricking effects by night. Another big benifit is that the splash and therefore size of the resrevoir at the base can be much smaller than the AquaVeil with a cerytain chosen water pattern. This is a big benefit for indoor installations.
